Not financial advice
Nothing on this site is financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and nothing is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security. The value investing calculators (Graham Number, discounted cash flow, margin of safety, P/E and P/B, Buffett Indicator, Rule of 72) and the essays about them explain how investors think about value. They cannot tell you what a particular investment is worth or what you should do.
Not medical advice
The health calculators (BMI, calories, body fat, water intake, sleep cycles, heart rate zones, due date) give general estimates based on published formulas. They do not account for your individual health and are not a substitute for advice from a doctor, nurse, midwife or registered dietitian.
The book and the songs
Anima is a work of fiction: a nautical allegory. Its characters, voyages and ideas are told to make you think, not to tell you what to do with your money.
My own examples
When I write about my own thinking as a saver and investor, it is to illustrate an idea. My circumstances, time horizon and tolerance for risk are not yours, and what makes sense for me may not suit you.
No professional relationship
Using the site, reading the essays or emailing me does not create any advisory relationship. I am not a licensed financial adviser, accountant, lawyer or medical professional, and this site is not authorised or supervised by any financial regulator.
Accuracy
I test the calculators against worked examples and explain each formula on its page, but errors are possible, and results are only as good as the inputs and assumptions you choose. Check important results with an independent method or a professional before you act on them. If you find a mistake, please tell me at contact@deepsonicecho.com.
Any currency, any country
The calculators work with any currency. Tax rules, lending rules and financial regulation differ between countries, and you are responsible for checking how they apply where you live.
